Jordanian Lawyer Disbarred for Representing Israeli Kibbutz in Business Dispute Seeks Israeli Intervention

A Jordanian lawyer has asked Israeli authorities for intervention after he was disbarred from the Jordanian Bar Association (JBA) for representing an Israeli kibbutz in a business dispute with a Jordanian company. The controversy relates to the Jordanian private company ‘Hijazi & Ghosheh Group’, which works with meat and livestock (calves and sheep) exports. According to some Arabic media reports, Hijazi and Ghosheh export food and livestock to Israel through its Australia-based company LSS, which delivers the animals to Hijazi & Ghosheh’s quarantine station in the port city of Eilat. Kibbutz Eilot, in Arava, entered into a business dispute with Hijazi & Ghosheh in 2020 after an Israeli court ordered the latter to pay the kibbutz one million shekels/$300,000 in debt. The attempts to collect the debt failed, so the kibbutz hired Al-Rashidat, who sent Hijazi & Ghosheh a letter of warning prior to filing a lawsuit. However, the case was leaked to the media, leading JBA to disbar Al-Rashidat for « corroborating with Zionist settlements. »

Hamas forced emaciated Israeli hostage Evyatar David to dig his own grave in a sick new propaganda video

Hamas forced emaciated Israeli hostage Evyatar David to dig his own grave in a sick new propaganda video, as the twisted terror group continued to stall negotiations to release the remaining living captives. In the nearly 5-minute clip released Friday, the 24-year-old David is seen in a tunnel with a ceiling roughly as high as he is tall, crossing off dates on a calendar and digging a grave. The David family, which allowed the release of the video, said in a statement sent to the Hostages Families Forum Headquarters, “We are forced to witness our beloved son and brother, Evyatar David, deliberately and cynically starved in Hamas’s tunnels in Gaza — a living skeleton, buried alive.  “The deliberate starvation of our son as part of a propaganda campaign is one of the most horrifying acts the world has seen.”

« We operate every day to bring in aid, Hamas operates every day to create a perception of crisis. The international community needs to know the truth!”  -COL Abdullah Halabi, Head of the CLA Gaza, on the Gazan side of the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Hostage talks between Israel and Hamas have collapsed after Hamas rejected the latest deal. Israeli and U.S. teams left Doha, with U.S. officials like Marco Rubio and Steve Witkoff now calling for a strategy reset.

Despite 800 aid trucks waiting in Gaza, the UN refuses to distribute them. Accusations of deliberate starvation have intensified global pressure on Israel. In response, the IDF began airdropping aid and announced daily humanitarian pauses, but criticism continues.

Six months into his term, Trump faces mounting frustration. He promised to end the war and free hostages but now hints at a final ultimatum or escalation, saying Hamas “wants to die.”

In Israel, some public anger is growing. Thousands protested in Tel Aviv demanding action. Netanyahu is caught between hostage families, far-right coalition threats, and U.S. pressure. Any shift could collapse his government.

A full hostage-for-peace deal seems unlikely. Hamas won’t give up leverage, and Israel won’t let them remain in power. Other options still remain, full siege, reoccupation, hostage rescues, or targeting Hamas leaders abroad.

Israel on Thursday blamed a “lack of cooperation from the international community” for the limited aid entering the Gaza Strip while dismissing Hamas’s “famine narrative” as a tactic used in the hostage talks.

Israel on Thursday blamed a “lack of cooperation from the international community” for the limited aid entering the Gaza Strip while dismissing Hamas’s “famine narrative” as a tactic used in the hostage talks.  Speaking to reporters on the Gaza side of the Kerem Shalom Crossing, Col. Abdullah Halabi, head of COGAT’s Coordination and Liaison Administration for Gaza, said that approximately 1,000 trucks’ worth of aid are piled up inside the Strip, awaiting collection by the United Nations and aid groups.  The senior officer in the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories said truckloads are waiting on the Gaza side of the crossing “due to a lack of cooperation from the international community and international organizations.”  “We have seen in the last two days a slight improvement in their work, especially in the UN’s position and the UN’s organizations. We invited them here as we have done several times to continue to encourage them, to check together with them what can be done to transfer this aid in,” he said.

The 47th World Heritage Committee – the ongoing I.D. Theft of Jewish and Christian Sites

The 47th World Heritage Committee – the ongoing I.D. Theft of Jewish and Christian Sites

As for the past 22 years, Dr. Shimon Samuels, Emeritus Director for International Relations of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre, and Alex Uberti, independent researcher and Project Manager for CSW-Europe, are participating in the activities of the World Heritage Committee (WHC). This year’s 47th session is held in UNESCO’s Paris headquarters.

Since its accession to UNESCO in 2011, the “State of Palestine” has been campaigning in WHC sessions – in Mumbai, Riyadh, Manama, Cracow, Doha, Bonn, Phnom Penh, or St. Petersburg… – with the aim of appropriating Jewish and Christian heritage and historical sites, in order to validate its own narrative. So far, it has obtained the following:

– in 2012, Birthplace of Jesus: Church of the Nativity and the Pilgrimage Route, Bethlehem. Though the site is formally under the custodianship of the Greek Orthodox, the Roman Catholic and the Armenian Apostolic churches, they hardly risked speaking out freely after being intimidated… Nevertheless, in a Samuels’ visit to Yerevan, the Catholicos of All Armenians admitted that he had not even been informed beforehand by the Palestinians, regarding their intention to take control over the Church. This appropriation was accompanied by the spurious claim that “Jesus was a Palestinian” – though all historical and religious sources indicate him as being born, having lived and died as a Jew, in Judea well before the Romans renamed that land Syria Palaestina (in 135 C.E.) to punish a Jewish revolt.
– in 2014, “Palestine: Land of Olives and Vines – Cultural Landscape of Southern Jerusalem, Battir”… also called Khirbet al-Yahud (“Ruin of the Jews »). This is the ancient Hasmonean fortress of Beitar, the base of the abovementioned Bar Kochba Israelite revolt against the Romans. Curiously, today’s few Palestinian wineries (as in Taybeh, ancient Judean town of Ophrah), were originally prolific wine-producing towns under both Jewish and Christian rule…

– in 2017, “Hebron/Al-Khalil old town”, including the Tomb of the Patriarchs, also known as the Machpelah Caves, that are claimed as the Ibrahimi Mosque. Hebron is the second holiest site in Judaism, and hosts a resilient Jewish community.

– in 2023, “Ancient Jericho/Tell es-Sultan”, the first Canaanite (pagan) city conquered by the Israelites… and later fortified around the central mound (Tell). Even under Persian rule, Jericho was the fertile centre of “Yehud Madinata” (Province of Judah). Under Herod the Great, a new palace and fortifications were built, but from the Roman conquest onwards, Jericho declined. Renamed Ariha by Muslim rulers, it was reduced to “a desolate town of 50 poor houses” in 1659, and under Ottoman rule, in 1870, the census barely counted “36 houses and 105 men”. Jews never got a chance to return Jericho to its ancient glory.

– in 2024, “Saint Hilarion Monastery/Tell Umm Amer”, in Gaza. Listed on the spur of claims it had been destroyed, the latest report by UNESCO states it remains intact and “not directly damaged”. Of course, this is news that the media will probably not be interested in reporting.

In addition to these sites, the “State of Palestine” has laid claims – a proper “wish-list” – also on:

– Rachel’s Tomb, the burial site of the Biblical matriarch, close to Bethlehem, claimed as the « Bilal bin Rabah Mosque »

– The Western Wall (a.k.a. the Wailing Wall), the holiest shrine of Judaism, referred to by the Arab Muslims as the “Buraq Wall”, to honour Muhammad’s winged steed, tethered to the Wall after purportedly flying from Mecca, to allow the Prophet’s ascent to Heaven, all in one night. Of course, there is no mention of Jerusalem in the Quran, while the heavenly ascent was originally recounted to have happened near the Kaaba in Mecca, some 1300 km away.

– The Qumran Caves and the Dead Sea Scrolls – the oldest manuscripts, mostly in Hebrew, but some also in Aramaic and Greek, of essential historical and religious significance – foundational documents for Judaism and Christianity. Luckily, most of the scrolls are preserved intact in Jerusalem, and the caves are under the protection of Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority.

This year, apart from a speedy confirmation by consensus – with no discussion – of the sites already listed by UNESCO and the WHC, we hope that “Palestine” will not try to force a new entry from its « wish-list ».

Hamas posted a message encouraging Palestinians to « burn whatever you can of groves, forests, and settler homes, » on Telegram on Wednesday.  « Youth of the West Bank, youth of Jerusalem, and those inside Israel, set their cars ablaze… Gaza awaits the revenge of the free, » the terrorist organization wrote. Earlier, the Jenin News Network Telegram channel called on Palestinians to « burn the groves near the settlements » in a post on Telegram on Wednesday.  As the wildfires continue to burn across central Israel, the channel posted a photo of a masked person setting fire to a field as a town burns in the background, with the text « Settlers’ homes will be ashes under the feet of the revolutionaries » and the hashtag « Burn settlers’ houses. »

BATTLE AGAINST ICC INDICTMENTS RAGES ON (Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center)

BATTLE AGAINST ICC INDICTMENTS RAGES ON (Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center)

“And Pharaoh’s heart was hardened.” (Exodus 9:12)

The battle against the International Criminal Court (ICC) and its politically motivated war crime indictments of Israeli leaders rages on. While the U.S. Congress has passed legislation imposing severe economic sanctions on those in The Hague responsible for this anti-Israel overreach, the bill was temporarily stalled in the Senate yesterday. This delay, however, is merely a setback, not a defeat.

The proposed sanctions would cripple the ICC’s ability to access the international banking system, freezing the personal accounts of its officials and targeting U.S. tech firms, such as Microsoft, that provide essential services to the court. While the Senate has yet to finalize its version of the bill, bipartisan support suggests it will pass in the coming weeks. However, key American allies, including the European Union states and Canada—all ICC members—oppose these measures and continue to back the court’s efforts.

Yet, in their arrogance, the ICC prosecutors and judges remain undeterred. Refusing to reconsider their decision, they have taken preemptive steps, such as paying staff salaries three months in advance, to circumvent the anticipated U.S. sanctions.

Last spring, ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, alleging that Israel weaponized starvation in Gaza following Hamas’s brutal October 7 terrorist massacre. In doing so, the ICC attempts to equate Hamas—a designated terrorist organization by the U.S., EU, and others—with Israel’s legitimate right to defend its citizens from murderous invaders and rapists.

When the U.S. sanctions are ultimately enacted, the ICC and its European enablers will face a moment of reckoning: either abandon these baseless indictments or risk economic collapse, which could spell the court’s demise. Shurat HaDin is working with government agencies and its network of lawyers to assist in the battle against the ICC.

« Israel Frees Palestinian Terrorists »

« Israel Frees Palestinian Terrorists »

Almost 2,000 prisoners could benefit from the agreement with Hamas.

By Jonas Roth and Adina Renner

There was a time when Zakaria Zubeidi was one of the most wanted Palestinians in the West Bank. Arrested multiple times in his youth for throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at Israeli soldiers, he later became radicalized during the Second Intifada. Zubeidi joined the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, the militant wing of Fatah, led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Rising quickly to a leadership role, Zubeidi was dubbed the “King of Jenin,” after the stronghold of militant Palestinians in the northern West Bank.

Zubeidi openly boasted to Israeli journalists about the terror attacks he orchestrated. Among them was a 2002 attack in Beit Shean, where six Israelis were killed, and another in Tel Aviv in 2004 that claimed one life. Israeli forces made four attempts to assassinate him. Though he received amnesty in 2007, Zubeidi later resumed his involvement in terrorist activities. In 2019, he was arrested and sentenced to a long prison term in Israel.

Now, at age 49, Zubeidi is among those slated for release under a deal brokered between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization. The Israeli Ministry of Justice published a list of 734 names on Saturday, including Zubeidi. He is the most high-profile name, but who are the others set to be freed over the next six weeks?

« Blood on their Hands »

The Israeli-published list details not only the names of the Palestinian prisoners but also their sentences, crimes, and affiliations with militant groups. Among the prisoners, about 300 are affiliated with Hamas, and another 260 belong to Fatah, likely from its al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades. Additionally, 60 prisoners are associated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), an ally of Hamas in Gaza.

Many of these detainees are described as having “blood on their hands,” a term used in Israel for individuals involved in killing Israelis. Of the listed prisoners, 284 are serving life sentences. These include Mahmoud Abu Varda, sentenced to 48 life terms for his involvement in a 1996 bus bombing in Jerusalem that killed 45 people, and Tabet Mardawi, serving 21 life sentences for PIJ-led attacks that killed 20 and injured 150 Israelis.

For Israel, such concessions evoke painful memories of past prisoner exchanges, particularly the 2011 swap for abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, which involved the release of over 1,000 Palestinian prisoners. Among those released was Yahya Sinwar, later implicated in orchestrating the October 7, 2023, massacre. Critics argue that this ceasefire agreement repeats prior mistakes.

90 Freed Already

Following Hamas’s release of three Israeli hostages kidnapped on October 7, 2023, 69 women and 21 minors were released from the Ofer prison in the West Bank. The released individuals were met with celebratory crowds waving Palestinian and Hamas flags in Ramallah.

Among those freed was Khalida Jarrar, a prominent 62-year-old activist and politician who had previously served prison terms. In 2021, Jarrar was sentenced to two years for her affiliation with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a Marxist-Leninist group designated as a terrorist organization by Israel. Although Jarrar had completed her sentence, she was detained again after the October 7 massacre under « administrative detention, » a practice criticized by human rights groups for enabling indefinite incarceration without trial. About 3,400 Palestinians are currently held in administrative detention.

Five Months for a Social Media Post

The case of 24-year-old Shatha Jarabaa illustrates the wide net cast by the Israeli military administration. Arrested in August 2024 for a social media post critical of Israel’s actions in Gaza, she was charged with « incitement and support for terrorism » but released after five months.

Under the ceasefire, approximately 2,000 Palestinians are expected to be released, including the 734 named individuals and 1,200 more detained after the start of the recent conflict. While it remains unclear who these additional detainees are, their release depends on proving they were not involved in the October 7 massacre.
